Raster to Vector

This operation calculates a statistical summary from the pixel of a raster layer using a vector layer as reference. The vector layer overlaps the raster layer and for each vector object the operation calculates a statistical summary of the pixels that intersects this object. This process is performed for each selected band of the raster. The figure bellow shows an example of raster to vector operation.

It is accessed through:

    Processing >
Attribute Fill > Raster to Vector...
  1. Select an Input  raster layer  and an Input vector layer to apply the raster to vector operation.
  2. Select one or more bands and statistics to process the selected statistics for each band.
  3. Inform the Output Repository by clicking on:
    1. (...)to select the output directory and also inform the new layer name to store the result, or
    2. database icon to select the Data Source.
  4. Inform the new Layer Name to store the operation result, if the repository is a data source.
  5. Click OK to perform the operation or Cancel to close the interface.
Usage Tips:

The Raster to Vector result can be stored in different TerraLib data sources. Check data source selector for more details on how to select a data source.
