+TerraView  Project TerraView  is a GIS application built using the TerraLib  GIS library. TerraView  main goal is to make available to the GIS Community an easy geographic data viewer with resources that include database queries and data analysis, exemplifying the use of the TerraLib  library.

 TerraView  handles vector data (polygons, lines and points) and raster data (grids and images), both stored in a relational or geo-relational database, including ACCESS, PostgreSQL, MySQL and Oracle.

The Source Code Management System used with TerraLib was changed to Subversion, also known as SVN. In order to access a SVN repository, you must install a SVN client, e.g. tortoiseSVN, which can be downloaded here, or even a Windows command-line client from here.
|September 21, 2009| TerraView  help on-line in English is now available  TerraView  has now a Help on-line in English, which can be accessed when regional options are set to English (United States).
|July 13, 2009| TerraView  distribution  TerraView  program, including documentation and tutorial, is of INPE exclusive responsibility. It is freely distributed in this site and the TerraView  forum must be used for reporting accessibility problems. INPE does not support nor recommends any distribution made by others. The data sets used in the tutorial only have learning purposes and should be used for training in the use of the program.
|June 13, 2009| Database Conversion.  . TerraView  is able to convert to the current version of TerraLib  database only databases in the immediately previous version. If you are using a database in a version older than the previous version to the current one, please follow this procedure: Case 1 - Database generated with TerraView  in any version previous to the 3.0 Plus of 23/12/2004: Convert the database with TerraView  version 3.1.4, later convert with TerraView  version 3.3.0 and later with TerraView  3.3.1. Case 2 - Database generated with TerraView  in any previous version to the 3.2.0 of 10/03/2008 - but not in case (1): Convert the database with TerraView  3.3.0 and later convert with TerraView  3.3.1. All necessary versions can be found at the TerraView  download link.
|May 13, 2009| TerraView  3.3.1 with Access 2007. TerraView  currently does not support Access 2007 in native mode. This functionality will only be available in the next release. Meanwhile, you can save your database using the .mdb format and use TerraView  normally.
|April 14, 2009| TerraView  3.3.1 is available.  TerraView  3.3.1 is available. It comes with TerraLib  release 3.3.1 and includes a driver for Firebird database. For more details, check ChangeLog.
|January 26, 2009| TerraView  3.3.0 is available. Release 3.3.0 of TerraView  is available. It comes with TerraPrint plugin version 1.0.
|October 31, 2008| TerraView  3.2.1 is available. This version comes with a new plugin in BETA version, TerraPrint, to diagram and print maps, with functions to create legends, scales and other elements.
|February 19, 2008| TerraView  3.2.0 is available. This version includes Plugins for visualization of information layers from WMS servers (Web Map Service), Shapefile files in disk, and Themes created in TerraView  remote databases.
|December 21, 2007| TerraView  3.2.0 RC 3 is available.  TerraView  3.2.0 RC 3 is available. It fixes errors found in the RC 2. This version includes Plugins that allow visualization of information layers from WMS (Web Map Service) servers, Shapefile files in disk, and themes created in TerraView  remote databases.

|August 13, 2007| TerraView  3.2.0 RC 1 is available. TerraView  3.2.0 RC 1 is available. TerraView  3.1.4 is the last stable version and we are working on the next stable version that will be 3.2.0. TerraView  3.2.0 RC1 is the first candidate to version 3.2.0. It contains a set of new functions that might eventually be part of the new stable version, unless serious flaws are found.

|September 27, 2005| LESTE - UFMG offers TerraView  training course. Laboratório de Estatística Espacial (Spatial Statistics Laboratory) - LESTE of Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais - UFMG, INPE´s partner in SAUDAVEL network, will offer an extension course titled TERRAVIEW SOFTWARE INTRODUCTION. The Course has as objective to enable qualified professionals in the manipulation and research of geo-referenced data and spatial statistics analysis, in particular in the public health and criminal analysis domains.
