I am Thales Sehn Korting, born in Rio Grande, in the state Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. In this site it is published all kinds of scientific contributions that I believe I've already made. All available material on this site is free to be utilized and distributed, as long as the identification of the source is mentioned.
My areas of interest are:
- Data Mining (Multitemporal Remote Sensing Images)
- Image Processing (Segmentation and Classification)
- Remote Sensing
- Human Computer-Interaction (HCI)
- Voice Synthesis
I am currently a Ph.D. student in the Remote Sensing program at the National Institute of Space Research (INPE), in Brazil, since 2008. My research area is Knowledge Discovery in Multitemporal Image Databases.
I finished my M.S. degree in Applied Computing at INPE in 2007, working in the areas of Image Processing and Remote Sensing. The title of my M.S. thesis is "A Re-Segmentation Paradigm for High Resolution Imagery". Check the link projects for further information.
I am also a certified technician in Data Processing (for which I studied in the Technical and Industrial High School of FURG), and I have a B.S. degree in Computer Engineering, also from FURG. During this time I tried to keep extra-curricular activities, such as internships, researches, voluntary projects and teaching.
