Geographically-Aware Complex Networks Research Group
Welcome to the GeoCxNets webpage! We are a developing group from the Brazilian's National Institute for Space Research (INPE) that study the effects of the geographic space over the development of complex physical and social networks. Most of these networks are initially conceived based on simple geographic relations of distance, but they warp and reorder the original space from where they emerged. Our purpose is to investigate the effects of networks over dynamic geographic processes, such as the development of cities, the spread of diseases, and global change. We are a quite new group, and one of our first missions is to create an interacting network with other (especially Brazilian) groups on complex networks. If you want to contact us, please send an e-mail to geocxnets (at) dpi.inpe.br.
