Charts
This
section contains components used to create, display and edit
charts such as histograms and scatter plots, and it will explain how to
create and edit the style of the types
of charts supported by Terralib.
The supported charts are:
- Histogram:
A
histogram is a graphical representations showing a visual impression of
the distribution of data. It is an estimate of the probability
distribution of a continuous variable. A histogram consists of tabular
frequencies, shown as adjacent rectangles, erected over discrete
intervals (bins), with an area equal to the frequency of the
observations in the interval.
- Scatter:
A
scatter plot is a type of mathematical diagram using Cartesian
coordinate to display values for two variables for a set of
data. The
data is displayed as a collection of points, each having the value of
one variable determining the position on the horizontal axis and the
value of the other variable determining the position on the vertical
axis.
General use guide:
- Chart Display:
The
window that displays a chart and allows the user to interact with it
and it's data.
Once a
chart has been created, it is possible to edit it's style,
details explained at:
- Chart Style:
It is used
to define some of the information related to how the chart is
displayed, such as the font of it's title, the text on it's labels, the
background color, among other properties.
